Mysterious man ‘peeing’ all over CCU’s campus. Can ‘detective’ stop the flow?

An anonymous TikTok user is getting thousands of views, likes and comments on videos of them allegedly drenching various Coastal Carolina University campus landmarks in urine.

The entire ordeal is part of a larger trend of campus and city “pissers” throughout the country. There is even one in Myrtle Beach.

The videos from the “CCU Pisser” account date back to Sept. 1, each showing a stream of liquid aimed at a known spot in the campus area. A video at a Coastal Carolina logo embedded in the campus sidewalk got 118,900 views and over 12,000 likes and 300 comments. One taken outside of Tradition Hall got nearly 58,000 views and 5,000 likes.

The saga has expanded, as another TikTok user, who identifies himself as a detective, has garnered attention for claiming to be sleuthing out the case. However, commenters have expressed suspicions that he may be the perpetrator.

This “detective” does not appear to be affiliated with campus police.

Coastal Carolina University did not respond to questions about whether the school is aware of the saga taking place on campus, or what kinds of repercussions the person would face if caught.

The CCU Pisser and the “detective” tracking the person down mold their dynamic after two characters on the TV show “Dexter.” The show follows a man named Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter analyst for a Miami police department who doubles as a serial killer when he’s off the clock.

The show aired from 2006 through 2013 on Showtime, but has seen a resurgence in popularity with recent social media edits of the show and a reboot that premiered on Paramount+ in July 2025, featuring well-known faces like Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage.

The CCU Pisser uses a photo of Dexter as their profile picture and tags videos #Dexter. His “opponent” goes by “Detective Doakes” — a character known in the show for being suspicious of Dexter, his co-worker.

Their videos often utilize songs and sounds from the series as well.

The “detective” and commenters on the videos have been trying to figure out not only who the urinator is, but what will be his next target.

The CCU Pisser is just a small part of a trend that has risen nationally on college campuses and throughout cities.

The nearby Myrtle Beach area has it’s own “Myrtle Beach Pisser,” who has also accumulated tens of thousands of views on various videos of what appears to be urine spraying onto signs and other landmarks.

However, based on the locations seen in the Myrtle Beach Pisser’s videos, it appears the user is actually located in Garden City, according to Myrtle Beach police spokesperson Randolph Angotti.

Angotti did not respond to questions about what charges the personmight face if caught, or if any charges would occur if the “urine” the users are spraying turns out to be water sprayed from a bottle.

The trend has become a viral phenomenon, with initial accounts inspiring copycat and even competitor accounts, each vying to cement their place as their campus or city “serial pisser.”
