Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to enjoy the last of summer with a backyard barbeque, but if you forget the popsicles or hamburger patties, don’t panic.

While most grocery stores around the Myrtle Beach area will be open for business on Sept. 1, some will offer limited holiday hours. Here’s which stores will be open, and when they’ll close.

Costco: All Costco locations around the United States will close for Labor Day.

Which Myrtle Beach-area grocery stores open for Labor Day?

Aldi: Grand Strand Aldi stores will close early on Sept. 1. The North Myrtle Beach location will open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the three Aldi locations in Conway and Myrtle Beach will open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Food Lion: A company spokesperson said Food Lion grocery stores will open for regular business hours on Labor Day. Although individual locations vary, area stores open at 6 or 7 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. or 12 a.m.

Kroger: According to Kroger’s website, stores will operate with normal hours on Labor Day. In the Grand Strand, all four locations open at 6 a.m. and close at 11 p.m.

Piggly Wiggly: Both Piggly Wiggly locations in the Grand Strand will open on Sept. 1 at 7 a.m. and close at 9 or 10 p.m.

Publix: All Publix grocery stores will be open for normal business hours on Sept. 1, but Publix pharmacies will close for the day, a spokesperson said.

Sam’s Club: For Labor Day Sam’s Club stores will close early at 6 p.m. The stores will open to Plus members at 8.m. and open to Club members at 10 a.m.

Target: Both Myrtle Beach Target stores will open for regular hours on Labor Day, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., employees said.

Walmart: According to a company spokesperson, all Walmart stores will be open on July 4, unless required by state or local regulations, which don’t apply to the Grand Strand. Although hours vary by location, most stores will operate for normal business hours from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
