Police block access to Myrtle Beach area boat landing after body found
Horry County Police were turning people away from a Myrtle Beach area boat landing Wednesday evening after a body was reportedly found in the Waccamaw River.
Police were blocking access to Peachtree Landing at the end of Peachtree Road at about 6 p.m. as officers reported the area was a crime scene.
Details about the investigation are limited, but those on scene said that a body had been found in the Waccamaw River.
Police responded to the landing for a report of a suspcious death, according to an incident report.
However, the report said that the victim was found in a vehicle at the boat landing, not in the river.
