Netflix filming at Socastee Swing Bridge canceled again. Here’s why
Crews for a hit Netflix show were set to return to a local landmark on Thursday for another day of filming. Now, they’ve called it off.
The cast and crew of “Outer Banks” has canceled their Thursday filming session at the Socastee swing bridge due to weather, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation. This would have been the second day of filming at the site, after crews last filmed there on July 29, drawing crowds of fans.
The filming on July 29 was also shut down because of storms. The crew was set to return Aug. 14 to resume filming a scene for its final episode.
The bridge was originally going to close from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., but inclement weather forecasts have changed that plan.
A rescheduled filming date has not yet been released.
