Gas prices are down. Here’s where to find the cheapest gas in Myrtle Beach area
The average price of gasoline has fallen 2.7 cents per gallon nationally in the last week, according to a recent report by GasBuddy.
In Myrtle Beach, gas prices currently average about 2.69 cents per gallon, with one gas station standing out as the cheapest option in a survey of 197 local stations, GasBuddy says.
The Shell station located at 7879 S.C. 544 currently has the lowest gas prices in the city, coming in at $2.55 per gallon.
Right now, gas prices throughout Myrtle Beach are 3.8 cents lower than they were a month ago, while the national price of gas is down 7 cents from one month ago, averaging $3.08 per gallon now. The national average price of diesel has decreased by 1.8 cents since one week ago, standing at $3.69 per gallon.
As of Sunday, GasBuddy reported that the highest per-gallon gas price in Myrtle Beach stood at $2.95 per gallon.
A little ways north, in North Myrtle Beach, drivers can find a lower gas price of $2.52 per gallon at Dodge’s Store, located at 2609 South Highway 17.
Surfside Beach currently houses the lowest gas price outside of Myrtle Beach, according to GasBuddy, with a price of $2.47 per gallon at the Circle K located at 1611 Highway 17.
