Update: Coroner names person killed in Myrtle Beach motorcycle crash
One person has been confirmed dead after a motorcycle accident Wednesday in Myrtle Beach.
Police responded to the crash in the area of Farrow Parkway between Howard Avenue and Means Circle on Wednesday evening. The road was temporarily closed.
Later that evening, Myrtle Beach Police confirmed in a Facebook post that one of the motorists did not survive the accident “due to the extent of their injuries.”
Cosme Inbert Nadal , 49, of Myrtle Beach, died at 1:45 p.m. when the motorcycle he was operating struck the center median on Farrow Parkway, causing him to lose control, according to an email from Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard. He died of multiple traumatic injuries, she said.
It is unclear how many motorists were involved in the incident, or how many suffered injuries.
“Our thoughts are with those involved in this incident,” police said in the post.
