July Fourth is almost here and people around the country are preparing for barbecues, picnics and cookouts.

If you run out of hot dog buns or forget to stock up on popsicles before Independence Day celebrations, don’t panic. Plenty of South Carolina grocery stores around the Myrtle Beach area will be open for business on the Fourth of July.

Here’s a rundown of which stores will be open, which will close and which will operate with limited hours.

Aldi

Grand Strand Aldi stores will remain open on July 4 with limited hours. The North Myrtle Beach location will open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., while the three Aldi locations in Conway and Myrtle Beach will open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Costco

All Costco locations around the United States will close in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Food Lion

All Food Lion locations will be open for regular business hours, a company spokesperson said. Although individual locations vary, area stores open at 6:00 or 7:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m. or 12:00 a.m.

Kroger

According to Kroger’s website, stores will operate with normal hours. In the Grand Strand, the Galleria Shopping Center location in Myrtle Beach will open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Carolina Forest, Garden City Beach and North Myrtle Beach locations will open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Lowes Foods

All Lowes Foods locations will be open on the Fourth of July with regular hours. The Little River location will open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and the Pawleys Island store will open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The three other Lowes Foods around the Grand Strand, in Carolina Forest, Murrells Inlet and Surfside Beach will open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m.

Piggly Wiggly

Both Piggly Wiggly locations in the Grand Strand will be open Friday with regular hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., according to employees.

Publix

Publix stores will open for regular business on July 4, a spokesperson said. The pharmacies, however, will close for Independence Day and reopen on July 5 for regular hours.

Sam’s Club

Sam’s Club will open on July 4 until 6:00 p.m. Plus members can get in starting at 8:00 a.m. and Club members can enter at 10:00 a.m.

Target

Both Myrtle Beach Target stores will operate with regular hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., employees said.

Walmart

Per a company spokesperson, all Walmart stores will be open on July 4, unless required by state or local regulations, which don’t apply to the Grand Strand. Although hours vary by location, most stores will operate for normal business hours from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
