She got blisters while working for Conway. Then fired for complaining, suit says

A former City of Conway employee was fired in retaliation for complaining about suffering a workplace injury, she alleges.

Corina Goodson, who was Conway’s grounds and maintenance technician since 2019, was fired in February, according to her lawsuit.

Goodson was injured while spraying chemicals that caused her skin to blister and burst out in rash, the complaint states. She reported her injuries and that improper equipment was being used not in compliance with chemical application ordinances.

Conway spokeswoman June Wood declined to comment on the lawsuit.

Goodson’s complaints about the “illegal employment actions she and other employees were directed to engage in” resulted in her being written up and ultimately terminated, according to the complaint.
