Vehicle crashes into Conway strip mall, injuring one. Here’s what we know

A car crashed into a hair salon in a Conway strip mall, injuring one person Sunday afternoon, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

A white SUV damaged a support beam outside Unique Hair Creations at 1925 S.C. Highway 544, according to a Facebook post from the fire agency. The person injured was transported to the hospital for minor injuries, according to HCFR.

It is unclear what caused the vehicle to run into the building.

Other customers in the store were evacuated due to the damaged support beam.

The hair salon was open on Monday. However, police tape still remained outside the building.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident with assistance from the Horry County Police Department.
