Woman killed in deadly SC house fire named. Fire destroyed the home

A 62-year-old woman died after her Loris home caught fire early Friday morning.
Carol Triplette died just after 6:30 a.m. May 16, 2025, at her home on Papas Bay Road, according to Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard in an email. The fire destroyed Triplette’s home, Willard said.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the fire, shutting down Highway 9 Business in order to try and put out the fire. The roadway was shut down for an extended amount of time.
The cause of this fire is under investigation.
