A 4-year-old boy died two days after being found in a Myrtle Beach pool.

Matthew Halliday died at the Grand Strand Medical Center Saturday night after being found in the Cape Landing pool on May 8, said Tamara Willard, the Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner, in an email to The Sun News. His cause of death has not been confirmed.

Willard said an autopsy has been ordered for Halliday. It’s unclear how Halliday was discovered in the pool.

The Sun News requested the incident report from Horry County Police.
