Update: Myrtle Beach PGA delays play. See the new schedule
Play has resumed at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic after it was suspended due to lightning.
Because the schedule was pushed back and play has been extended later in the evening, the Fan Zone Classic Shag Dance Competition was canceled.
Check out the new schedule:
8:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. – Morning tee times
1:10 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Afternoon tee times
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Golf Channel live coverage
The National Weather Service predicts showers and thunderstorms in Myrtle Beach today, mainly before noon. The day is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 77 degrees and a 70% chance of precipitation.
The worst of this morning’s weather appears to have passed on the NWS radar, but a PGA spokesperson said the tournament couldn’t rule out further delays if inclement weather returns.
