Smoke inhalation cause of North Myrtle Beach woman’s death
A 95-year-old North Myrtle Beach woman hospitalized after a house fire Aug. 3 died Saturday due to complications from smoke inhalation.
Ella Pearle Willard was pronounced dead Saturday at Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga., said Horry County Coroner Robert Edge.
The house fire occurred off Little River Neck Road on LD Drive in North Myrtle Beach, authorities said.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation. The home was fully engulfed with flames when crews arrived and by 9 a.m. Aug. 3 firefighters had the blaze extinguished.
