An Horry County claims she was injured after biting into a Snickers candy bar she purchased at a convenience store.

Sarah Kenner filed the suit against Mars, which is the maker of the candy bar, and Circle K Stores.

The suit, filed April 29, 2025, doesn’t say which Circle K store the candy bar was purchased at.

A message left with the Mars company and Circle K Stores was not returned by publication.

Kenner claims that on July 11, 2023, she opened the candy bar and after beginning to eat it, cut her tongue on a foreign object in the candy. The suit does not say what the object was.

Kenner was injured, causing her to have severe lacerations to her mouth and tongue and loss and impairment of speech and taste, the suit said.

The suit is accusing both companies of selling a defective and dangerous product and violating safety standards.

Kenner is asking for actual and punitive damages not to exceed $75,000.
