House District 106 runoff Tuesday

A runoff between two Republicans vying for the S.C. House District 106 seat will be Tuesday.

Russell Fry, 30, and Tyler Servant, 24, will square off in a runoff Tuesday for the S.C. House District 106 seat, formerly held by Nelson Hardwick.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Kids Triathlon Saturday

Myrtle Beach-area children can participate in the seventh annual Kids Triathlon this Saturday held at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.

More than 150 children ages 7 to 18 will compete in the annual race – categorized by age. The race begins at 8 a.m.

Fees for the race are $23 for Myrtle Beach residents or $40 for others.

Back-to-school block party

The young women’s auxiliary of Sandy Grove Baptist Church are partnering with the city of Myrtle Beach to hold an annual back-to-school block party Saturday.

The annual event, held from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. Saturday at Futrell Park, will include free food, music, entertainment and vendors.

Myrtle Beach recreation centers will be collecting school supplies ahead of time that will be distributed during the event.
