Food truck race filming in Myrtle Beach. Here’s where you can watch and order food
Editors note: The Great Food Truck Race airs on the Food Network. An earlier version has the wrong network. (Updated 3/22 at 8:10 A.M.)
Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race” will be in Myrtle Beach this weekend.
At least three trucks participating in the reality TV show competition will be filmed at two businesses and a downtown park.
The show is hosted by chef Tyler Florence, who made an appearance during the taping.
The show features nine competing teams that drive across the United States in food trucks, making stops each week to sell food in different cities. Recently, trucks have been in Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina.
Next stop is Myrtle Beach beginning Friday.
Taping will happen from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
The food trucks will be near Plyler Park Friday. Then the trucks will apparently be at other locations throughout the weekend.
Food trucks at the park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. include Cooking with Que, which serves vegan and vegetarian dishes, and Stop Drop and Roll, which serves specialty egg rolls and spring rolls.
The food truck Good Fortune Co., a Memphis, Tennessee-based business that sells homemade ramen noodles and dumplings, also will be at Plyler Park as well as at Tidal Creek Brewhouse, 3421 Knoles St., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Tidal Creek owner Dara Sawczuk said a Food Network representative contacted her Thursday and asked if the food truck could be located at the brewery. She quickly set up a spot for the food truck.
Another food truck, Fat Kid Food Co., which offers burgers and sweets, will be at the park and then at Grand Strand Brewing Co. in Nance Plaza, 819 N. Kings Highway, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Stop Drop and Roll will be at The Market Common’s Grand Park beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.
It’s unclear what season the taping is for or when it will air.
