New meat market coming to Myrtle Beach area. What we know about the butcher shop
A new butcher shop is coming to the Socastee area.
Soberano Meat Market will open at 5023 Dick Pond Road, next to S.C. 544. The building on March 11 appeared to be under renovations, with walls painted red and white. Meat cases have not been installed.
The owner did not respond to a request to comment prior to publication. It is unclear when the shop will open.
Linda Bean’s Maine Lobster Inc. used to operate in the building before closing in July 2024, The Sun News previously reported.
The nearest local butcher shops are Carniceria Mi Mexico along Socastee Boulevard and J & J Takeaway & Butcher Shop in Murrells Inlet.
