Pedestrian dies after being hit along busy Myrtle Beach, SC street

A Myrtle Beach man died after he tried to cross a busy street and was hit by a car.

A pedestrian was died after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing a busy Myrtle Beach street.

Antonie Johnson, 24, tried to cross Mr. Joe White Avenue on Wednesday, according to Tamara Willard, the Horry County chief deputy coroner. He died just after 7 p.m.

It’s unclear where along Mr. Joe White Avenue the Myrtle Beach man was trying to cross or if he had the right of way.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating the accident.
