Online commenters are asking Congressman Russell Fry (SC-7) when his next in-person town hall will be in Horry County.

On Fry’s political Facebook page, his last post received 115 comments, many of them disagreeing with the new administration’s latest political moves.

According to members of Fry’s team, the Grand Strand and Pee Dee region’s representative hosted a telephone town hall in early February that was joined by over 8,000 people.

In mid-February, his team said Congressman Fry hosted two “Freedom Hours,” his version of a town hall, with one in Dillon County on Feb. 20, and another in Georgetown County on Feb. 18.

Neither of those events took place in Myrtle Beach, or Horry County

According to his team, Fry doesn’t have any more in-person events in Horry County on the calendar.

In recent weeks, communities throughout the United States have shown up at public meetings, office hours with representatives and town halls to share their distaste and disdain for cost-cutting measures Elon Musk has implemented through his Department of Government Efficiency.

Constituents with Republican elected officials have shown up to vocalize their concerns with President Trump’s administration, and federal employee layoffs implemented by DOGE.

In response , during a meeting on Tuesday, National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Richard Hudson (R-NC), told fellow elected Congress members to host tele-town halls or live streamed events instead of in-person town halls, The Hill reported.

On his official Congressman Russell Fry Facebook page, he posted photos with first responders in Carolina Forest during the ongoing wildfire.

“Congressman Fry remains committed to engaging with his constituents in a variety of ways to ensure their voices are heard,” his director of communications, Katherine Thordahl, wrote in an email to The Sun News. “Our office will continue to provide updates on opportunities for engagement as they become available.”

Fry can be reached at his Washington D.C. office at (202) 225-9895, at his Grand Strand district office at (843) 353-5377 and at his Pee Dee district office at (843) 799-6880.
