SpaceX rocket path will be visible in Myrtle Beach area. Where and when to watch
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s a SpaceX rocket.
A SpaceX rocket’s exhaust plume will be visible in the sky in the Myrtle Beach area Tuesday night.
The rocket is scheduled to take off from the Kennedy Space Center between 6:07 p.m and 7:08 p.m. on Feb. 4, according to the website. If it launches on time, the plume will be visible in the Myrtle Beach area between 6:09 and 6:15 p.m., said Victoria Oliva, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
Oliva said the weather is favorable to catch a glimpse of the rocket’s exhaust, as there will be clear skies until later Tuesday night. Look to the southeast to see the show.
The beach may be the best place to look for the rocket’s exhaust plume, as it offers an unobstructed view of the southeast.
