New single-family homes are coming to the Longs area, as the Horry County Council just granted final approval for the project to move forward.

Passed at the county council’s meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, the project includes building 65 single-family homes at 1091 West Highway Nine near the Jack Nicklaus-designed Long Bay Golf Club.

According to Horry County Land Records, Beach Flowers Inc. owns the property. The firm bought the nearly 33-acre plot in January 2024 for more than $600,000. The South Carolina Secretary of State’s website lists R Randolph Wallace as its registered agent.

Wallace could not be reached for comment before publication.

It is unclear when the homes will be built or completed.

The development proposal was the first item on the Horry County Council’s Consent Agenda. Listed for third reading. A Horry County spokesperson confirmed that the consent agenda passed as written.
