The most romantic day of the year is almost here and while the Grand Strand features some swoon-worthy restaurants, the area also has plenty of more creative options to offer. With sloths, pottery, boat rides and more, these Feb. 14 events have something for everyone.

If you and your partner are interested in shaking up your Valentine’s Day routine, check out some of the most unique options around Myrtle Beach.

Couples Wheel Throw

You and your date can get in touch with your artistic sides this Valentine’s Day at Rooted Beauty Pottery. For $150, couples will get a 2-hour wheel throwing session where they’ll create three pottery pieces each, a rose, a personal cookie cake and a souvenir photo.

Golf is for Lovers

Golfers can practice their game together on Valentine’s Day at PopStroke at Broadway at the Beach. The Valentine’s Day package is $80 for underaged guests and includes two golf passes, an appetizer and entrees. The regular Valentine’s package is $100 and also includes a champagne toast for two.

Romance in the Gardens

4 - 6 p.m.

Couples ages 21 and over can renew their vows and enjoy a three-course meal on Valentine’s Day in the beauty of Brookgreen Gardens. Tickets include general admission, so guests can roam the grounds before the ceremony. Members pay $175 per couple, while non-members pay $185.

Splash of Love

If your date loves sloths, sharks and penguins, there’s no better venue for your Valentine’s dinner than Ripley’s Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach. Tickets range from $150 to $400 per couple, depending on seating and perks like chocolate, live music and even animal meet-and-greets. All tickets include a four-course dinner, souvenir photo, rose, at least one drink and aquarium admission.

Valentine’s Day Cruise

6 p.m.

On Valentine’s and the following day, Saturday, February 15, the Barefoot Queen Riverboat is sailing romantic candlelight dinner cruises through the Intracoastal Waterway. The two-hour cruise will feature a special menu, roses, entertainment and a full bar. Tickets start at $71.99 for adults and $41.99 for kids 12 years and younger.
