Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and, if you’re preparing for a romantic evening out, now’s the time to make plans and reservations. While the Grand Strand has no shortage of restaurants, some offer candlelight, white tablecloths and a more romantic atmosphere than others.

To track the best date night spots in the area, online restaurant reservation platform OpenTable analyzes reviews from the previous four months to maintain a list of the most romantic restaurants, according to diner feedback, which it updates every month.

Based on the January update, here’s which restaurants OpenTable says diners have deemed the most romantic around the Myrtle Beach area:

The Melting Pot

The Myrtle Beach location of fondue chain The Melting Pot came in as the most romantic restaurant in the area, according to OpenTable. Google reviewers praise The Melting Pot’s intimate atmosphere and romantic ambiance, and dozens of reviews mention celebrating anniversaries at the restaurant.

From Feb. 13 through Feb. 17, The Melting Pot is offering a special Valentine’s menu “specially curated to spark romance,” featuring cheese fondue, chocolate fondue and entrees like lamb chops, filet mignon and pasta starting at $198 per party.

Aspen Grille

The dinner starts at $129 per person, with a possible entree upgrade.
