Charlotte man dies two days after being pulled from ocean
A Charlotte man who was pulled from the ocean Friday died Sunday at Grand Strand Medical Center, authorities said.
James Davis, 79, was taken to the emergency room at 2 p.m. Friday after almost drowning in the ocean near 9550 Shore Drive, said Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler. Davis died around 8:40 p.m. Sunday.
Fowler said Davis’ death was caused by a spinal injury and complications from nearly drowning.
