Busy North Myrtle Beach road to close to traffic. Drivers can expect delays. Here’s when
The Barefoot Swing Bridge in North Myrtle Beach will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday.
City officials said in an email that the lane reduction will be to accommodate annual maintenance and the replacement of the sidewalk.
The pedestrian walkway on the bridge has been closed since June 2023.
Temporary traffic control signals will be installed to manage vehicle flow, the email said.
The project is expected to last 60 days. Drivers are encouraged to plan for potential delays, allow extra travel time, and consider alternate routes if possible, the email said.
