A fire broke out at a Surfside Beach restaurant. Here’s what to know
A Surfside Beach restaurant caught fire late last night.
According to a Facebook post from the Surfside Beach Fire Department, firefighters responded to a 911 call at Dagwood’s Deli at 600 US 17 Business after an employee noticed smoke. Firefighters found a ventilation fire and put it out. The post added that the restaurant will need repairs.
Horry County Fire and Rescue also responded to the fire, according to its Facebook page. Dagwood’s also took to Facebook after the fire and wrote that the restaurant will open up again soon.
“For those that haven’t seen, we did experience a fire last night,” Dagwood’s posted on its Facebook. “We are grateful for fast acting employees and the incredible Surfside and Horry County Fire Departments! We’ll have more information today!”
Dagwood’s did not return The Sun News’ request for comment before publication.
A spokesperson for Surfside Beach did not return a request for comment before publication.
