Update: Coroner names 2-year-old killed by off road vehicle along SC roadway
A 2-year-old was killed Saturday evening after being run over by an off-road vehicle the child was riding in.
The child was one of four people - two adults and another 2-year-old - who were in a Can-Am Utility vehicle on Bay View Drive in the Green Sea area, according to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Ellieana Mishoe, of Aiken, died after she fell from the vehicle, according to an email from Horry County Chief Depurty Coroner Tamara Willard.
The vehicle was traveling along Bay View near Fairview Highway about 5:18 p.m. when the child, who was a passenger, fell off the vehicle and then was hit by it, Bolt said in an email.
The child died at the scene.
