Myrtle Beach oceanfront resort catches fire. Rescue crews were able to save a dog
Myrtle Beach fire crews responded to a fire at an oceanfront resort Friday.
The fire started in one of the rooms at the Palace Resort, 1605 S. Ocean Blvd., according to Facebook post from Myrtle Beach Fire Department.
The fire started about 11 a.m. It is unclear what caused the fire.
No one was injured, but a small dog received smoke inhalation. The dog was transported to get care at an animal clinic, the post said.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area of South Ocean Boulevard as crews are on the scene.
