Conway to close roads, including busy highway that will cause delays. Here’s what to know
A major roadway leading into the city of Conway will be closed in December for several hours during what is usually the city’s busiest traffic time.
Conway Police Department posted that Main Street from Fourth Avenue to Highway 90 will be closed beginning at 3 p.m. Dec. 5, 2024, for the city’s Christmas tree lighting. In addition, Third Avenue from Kingston Street to Laurel Street will also be closed.
The tree lighting begins at 6 p.m. and roads are expected to open by 7 p.m., the Facebook post said.
Traffic along Highway 90 coming in and out of the city is usually heavy during the time periods of the road closures.
Motorists are urged to take alternative ways for travel.
