A shuttered Surfside Beach area restaurant is getting a new life as a popular wing sports bar.

Buffalo Wild Wings will take over the former Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux at 101 North Strand Parkway.

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux permanently closed on Nov. 4, 2024. It was the second location to close in the Myrtle Beach area this year. The Carolina Forest location closed abruptly in April.

This will be the third Buffalo Wild Wings location in the Myrtle Beach area.

There are two additional locations one in Carolina Forest at 1990 Oakheart Road and the other in North Myrtle Beach at 518 Highway 17 North.

The new restaurant is undergoing some renovations and is expected to open in time for the NFL playoffs, according to the store manager and another person with the company at the site on Monday. An exact date of its opening is unclear, the men said.

Buffalo Wild Wings – known at B-Dubs is known for its wings and sauces, as well as burgers. It often shows sports games on its TVs.
