SC home owner shoots and kills man who was allegedly breaking into a house, police said.
A North Myrtle Beach man died Tuesday after allegedly entering a home and being shot by a person inside.
Ryan Surujnauth, 34, died from injuries he received from a shooting at a home on Monaca Drive in Longs, according to Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.
Surujnauth was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he died, Willard said in an email.
Horry County Police responded about 7:30 p.m. to a trespassing call at the home, according to a report.
While on the way to the scene, police were told that the victim and the suspect had struggled over the gun and the suspect was shot, the report said.
Police found Surujnauth inside the residence, bleeding and unconscious, the report said. He had been shot multiple times, Willard said in the email.
