The Grande Cayman Resort, located on the north end of Myrtle Beach, is being sued for negligence after a patron claims in a lawsuit he slipped and fell on a pile of vomit.

A Myrtle Beach hotel is being sued after a patron claims to have slipped in a pile of vomit outside the building.

Grande Cayman Resort, 7200 N. Ocean Blvd, is being sued for negligence by James Madison, of Kershaw County, who was leaving the hotel to go to the beach when he fell on vomit, the lawsuit states. The suit said that Madison opened an exit door, stepped outside and fell in the waste.

The Grande Cayman Resort did not respond to The Sun News’ request to comment prior to publication.

Madison claims the fall has caused him pain and suffering and he has had to miss work and spend money on medical treatments related to his injuries, according to the lawsuit.

Grande Cayman Resort had security cameras monitoring the area and did not place warning signs warning for the hazard, the suit said.

Madison alleges the resort was negligent by failing to inspect the premises and maintain a safe environment.

He is requesting a jury trial and to be awarded damages as determined by the courts.
