New England Fish House and Raw Bar is currently working to bring northeastern style seafood to the Carolina Forest area.

The restaurant will take over the space previously held by Village Bar and Grille, 4016 River Oaks Drive, which shut down earlier this summer. It’s located in the Food Lion shopping plaza.

New England Fish House will serve Maine lobster rolls, clam chowder, scallops, as well as beer, wine and cocktails, according to its Facebook. The owner of the Village Bar and Grille is the one opening the raw bar, according to Facebook comments made by the business.

There is not an exact opening date but in a Facebook comment, it said the restaurant wants to open around September.

The Village Bar and Grille was open for 14 years before closing in July, according to its Facebook.
