Crews will break ground on a new grocery store in the Carolina Forest of Myrtle Beach in August 2024.

BJ’s Wholesale Club announced via press release that the grocery store chain will host a groundbreaking event on Aug. 15, 2024, for its second location in South Carolina. The press release added that the store should open in 2024, although it did not specify when the grocery would open.

BJ’s location will also add other features to the Carolina Forest area. The new wholesale club will feature a gas station and grocery pick-up and delivery services.

The new BJ’s will be at 136 Las Palmas Drive. According to Horry County Land Records, BJ’s bought the more than 12-acre plot for its future wholesale club in 2023 for $4.2 million.
