One woman dead after a pedestrian collision in Myrtle Beach, SC. What we currently know.

A 48-year-old North Myrtle Beach woman is dead after being hit by a car on the south side of Myrtle Beach, according to Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.

Tanya Walters was hit near the intersection of 16th Avenue South and South Kings Highway on July 28 around 11:30 p.m., Willard said. She was brought to the Grand Strand Medical Center and died of her injuries on July 30 around 5:45 p.m.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating the collision.
