A Myrtle Beach restaurant that serves chicken wings in dog bowls will open another location later this summer.

Kluck It, 912 U.S. 501, is going to add a second spot in Conway, said owner Melissa Cooper-Garcia. Kluck It specializes in chicken wings, offering around 20 different homemade sauces and flavors, including lemon pepper, BBQ and jerk.

Cooper-Garcia said she chose Conway because the restaurant draws in customers from Coastal Carolina University, Aynor and Bucksport. The new restaurant will give them a shorter drive.

“I hear it all the time, ‘When are you coming to Conway?’” Cooper-Garcia said. “So we are coming to Conway.”

The Conway native hasn’t revealed the exact address but said it will be downtown. She is currently working on the space and hopes to open the second Kluck It in August.

The new location will be takeout and delivery only as there is not enough space for a dine-in restaurant, Cooper-Garcia said.

Kluck It opened in 2020 after Cooper-Garcia got the opportunity to buy the restaurant. She had worked at Pizza Plus, which was formerly at 912 U.S. 501, for 10 years. When the business went up for sale, Cooper-Garcia decided to say, “Kluck it,” and open her own place.

Along with wings, Kluck It also serves burgers, Philly subs and fried pickles. Cooper-Garcia said she uses a homemade spice blend for all the food. She themed the restaurant around her dog Bear, who passed away several years ago.
