A woman found dead in a pond near her Myrtle Beach, SC, area house, coroner says
A 40-year-old woman was found dead in a pond behind her home in the Myrtle Beach area.
Stephanie Blakely was last seen leaving her house on Royal Jay Lane around 11:30 p.m. on June 14, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office. She was found dead in a pond the following morning.
Her cause of death has not yet been determined and an autopsy is scheduled for later this week, the coroner’s office said in a release.
Horry County Police Department is investigating.
