One person is dead following a house fire in the North Myrtle Beach area. What we know

One person died after a house caught on fire outside of North Myrtle Beach, said Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.

Jeanette Livingston, 74, died in her home after the structure caught on fire around 1:30 a.m. on April 7. The house, located along Bombing Range Road, was destroyed in the fire, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the fire and is investigating the cause.
