A Surfside Beach pizza shop has closed its doors after 10 years.

Paper covers the windows of Lazer’s Pizza, 1450 Highway Business North, and a sign on the door says, “Closed.”

It is unclear when the business closed and what is next for the building. The phone number for the business has been disconnected.

The business was opened in 2013 by Lazer Lekani, who faked his own death to escape communist Albania, according to the pizza shop’s website.

Lekani and his wife and children moved to the Grand Strand the same year the business was opened.
