Update: Horry police investigating New Year’s Eve shooting of four near Little River bar
Horry County Police are investigating a shooting that occurred New Year’s Eve near a business in a Little River shopping plaza.
The shooting left at least four injured, two critically, according to police.
Police responded to Waterway Plaza off Highway 9 about 11:12 p.m. Dec. 31, according to a Facebook post.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a large crowd, according to the post. Additional details were unavailable.
Photos from the scene show officers gathered outside the Drinking Class Sports Bar and Grill. Several social media posts indicate the shooting happened at the bar.
Horry County Fire Rescue also responded to the incident, transporting those injured to area hospitals, according to police.
