With 2024 starting on a Monday this year, some South Carolina residents might take advantage of the long weekend to do their food shopping.
A variety of grocery stores will be open on New Year’s Day throughout the Grand Strand in Carolina Forest, Murrells Inlet, Surfside Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Little River and Conway.
Three grocery store chains will be closed on New Year’s Day: Aldi, Costco, Sam’s Club.
In the Myrtle Beach area, these grocery stores will be open on January 1. Most will be operating on their regular schedules, but check with the store for exact hours.
