Did a shark wash ashore in North Myrtle Beach, SC this morning? It’s unclear at this time.

On the morning of Dec. 20, 2023, one social media user posted on Facebook that a white shark had beached itself in North Myrtle Beach, posting a video originally uploaded to TikTok of a beached shark.

The video is not recent though, as it was first posted on TikTok April 4, 2023.

WPDE reported at the time that a great white shark got stuck ashore in North Myrtle Beach in early April 2023. WPDE also reported the shark was a 10-foot, female who later died.

It’s unknown right now if another shark washed ashore in North Myrtle Beach Dec. 20, 2023.

North Myrtle Beach Beach Supervisor Monty Reed could not be reached for comment before publication. North Myrtle Beach Police Department Officer Patrick Wilkinson could also not be reached for comment before publication.
