Foodies will have a new spot for upscale Asian dining in Myrtle Beach.

Managers of Thai Bistro expect to hold a soft opening on Friday in Myrtle Beach. The new restaurant is located at a Food Lion-anchored shopping center by 38th Avenue North and U.S. Highway 17 Bypass, near Pho Claire.

Thai Bistro will feature Thai, Chinese and Japanese favorites like pad thai and General Tso’s chicken in addition to sushi and a full bar, owner Sak Yiengjuntuek said.

The restaurant will be open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. The interior, which Yiengjuntuek described as a “New York look,” features glittering chandeliers and a large TV.

Yiengjuntuek has owned Thai Season in North Myrtle Beach for 16 years, in addition to Asian Mart in Myrtle Beach.

“Come to get experience with authentic Thai food and Asian cuisine,” he said to diners.
