From Food Lion to Lowes Foods, Thanksgiving 2023 hours for 4 Myrtle Beach area grocery stores
With so much cooking on Thanksgiving, you’re bound to need a last-minute run to the grocery store. If you suddenly run out of butter or need to welcome an unexpected visitor, holiday hours at these shops might save the day.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, some popular retailers began closing on Thanksgiving to let employees spend time with their families.
Stores closed on Thanksgiving include Aldi, Publix, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target and Walmart’s Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets.
Even so, a variety of grocery stores will be open on Thanksgiving throughout the Grand Strand in Carolina Forest, Murrells Inlet, Surfside Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Little River and Conway.
Whether you forgot the family potluck or need cough drops for that holiday sniffle, here are four grocery stores open on Thanksgiving in the Myrtle Beach area.
Food Lion: open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the retailer’s website.
Kroger: all area locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., an employee confirmed by phone.
Piggly Wiggly: the Myrtle Beach location will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the Surfside Beach grocery store will stay open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to employees at the respective stores.
Lowes Foods: Grand Strand stores will close at 4 p.m., though opening times vary, an employee said by phone.
