A new apartment complex is coming to Carolina Forest, S.C. with a yoga studio and dog park
Carolina Forest is getting a new apartment complex.
The Hudson Carolina Forest Apartments is a new development in the area at 300 Wappoo Creek Road and is currently leasing units.
The complex has 244 apartments with one and two-bedroom floor plans. The Hudson also offers amenities like a yoga studio, fitness room, dog park and pet spa, according to a press release from the complex.
The property itself has changed hands several times. In 2005, the property was sold for about $3.3 million before being transferred again in 2011 for roughly half the price. The property was sold once more in 2013 for $425,000 to Gateway Residential LLC, according to Horry County Property Records.
In 2014, a proposed 311-unit apartment complex by Gateway Residential, LLC drew opposition from some Carolina Forest residents citing loss in property value and traffic as concerns, The Sun News reported at the time.
In 2021, the about 17 acres were sold to its current owner Hudson Carolina Forest LLC for $4 million, according to Horry County Property Records.
