Is a Prohibition-themed restaurant in North Myrtle Beach SC closed? Here’s what we know
It appears a Prohibition-themed restaurant in North Myrtle Beach has closed its doors nearly a year after it opened.
A phone number for Bourbon & Breeze, an upscale cocktail and cigar lounge with a speakeasy setting, has been disconnected, and signage on the building has been removed.
Owners of the lounge, which opened in October 2022 according to its Facebook page, could not be reached for comment.
The lounge offered homemade cocktail recipes and more than 25 different bourbons, according to its website. In addition, the lounge, located at 10435 North Kings Highway, served comfort food at its restaurant.
What made the lounge unique was the ability for visitors to smoke cigars in a separate room.
It is not clear if the lounge will reopen. There is no sign on the door of the building and the doors were locked, and the parking lot was empty during a visit to the location on Saturday. Pieces of equipment and other items were outside the building. In addition, a reservation button on the website has been disabled.
