This winter, a Starbucks is coming to Kings Highway, across from Ocean Lakes Family Campground, a spokesperson for the coffee company confirmed on Friday.

Permits for a Starbucks drive-thru menu and “siren wall sign” were issued Tuesday, Horry County Land Records show.

The new coffee shop will be located at 1160 Dick Pond Rd., in the Ocean Lakes Village development. The shopping center near Surfside Beach contains a Walgreens and Walmart Neighborhood Market.

Starbucks has three corporate-run locations on Highway 17 Bypass — near Garden City, Surfside Beach and Socastee. This spring, the coffee retailer opened a location off of U.S. Highway 501 in Conway.
