The Coastal Carolina YMCA appears to have severed ties with its top executive, scrubbing from its website the biography of CEO Ryan Finney.

In an email, YMCA board chairman Kris Frost said the organization doesn’t comment on personnel matters. He was not immediately available to answer further questions.

According to the YMCA’s 2021 Form 990 — a financial document required to be filed with the IRS — Finney made $108,836.

Coastal Carolina YMCA does not list board members on its website or executive leadership. The YMCA also has an open job posting for its chief financial officer. It is unclear if an interim CEO has been named.

The link to a Feb. 23, 2018, Facebook post by Claire Chapin Epps Family YMCA Finney as CEO of its parent organization has been removed as of Aug. 10.

Finney’s office voicemail was still active as of Aug. 10.

The chief financial officer job is advertised on their website and is to be paid between $70,000 and $90,000 a year. Though Frost said in an email that their CFO is still with the organization.

The organization had total assets of nearly $9.4 million that year.

Founded in 1983, The Coastal Carolina YMCA serves more than 10,000 people a year with locations in Georgetown, Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island.
