43-year-old man drowns in Little River swimming pool, Horry County coroner says
A 43-year-old man drowned in an apartment complex swimming pool on Sunday night, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
Ricky Shaw, of Little River, was pulled from the Golf Colony Resort swimming pool and transported to Seacoast ER. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11:31 p.m, the coroner said.
Details are limited at this time. However, Horry County Fire Rescue confirmed Wednesday that crews responded to an emergency call on Golf Colony Lane at 10:45 p.m. Sunday.
