Expect traffic delays off Highway 707 as Horry County police investigate shooting in area

Horry County Police are investigating a shooting off of Highway 707 that left one person injured and police telling residents to go indoors.
As of 3:45 p.m., police had a person in custody and gave an all clear, saying there was no risk to the community, according to a Facebook post.
Police will be on the scene for some time and traffic may be impacted, police said.
The shooting happened about 2:13 p.m. on Buddy Lane, according to a Twitter post.
Horry County Fire Rescue transported one person to the hospital with injuries.
The investigation is active and ongoing, and not many details were provided about the incident.
Activity at South Strand Recreation Center and South Strand County Complex (both off of Scipio Lane) was paused and both facilities were on lockdown. All staff and visitors within are safe, the post said.
